Ash Containers

Always use a metal Ash Container for empting out those ashes in your fireplace or wood stove. Never use a plastic bucket or paper bag for ash removal. Live coals can remain buried in the ashes for several days.

Bellows

Every wood burner needs one of these!!! No matter how good of a fire builder you are, there are times when you have to blow on the coals to coax out the flame. I know I have all too many times until I got one of these for myself. Actually my wife got it for me. Just a few pumps of the bellows on the coals and instant fire without the red face. They also work great for charcoal grills.

Candelabras

Candelabras are perfect substitute for the ambiance of a fire during the summer months. Just place the Candelabra into the fireplace, light the candles, looks like you have a fire, but no heat. They also can be used just as a decoration.

Chimney and Roof Flashing Paint

Stove Bright chimney and roof flashing paint is a flat coating specifically designed to withstand the harsh conditions of roofs. It has superior weather and UV resistance and is a great way to match flashing color to the color of roof materials

Chimney Brushes and Rods

Chimney Caps - Stainless Steel

Fatwood and Caddies

Here’s natures perfect 100% natural fire starter, hand-split from the stumps of pine trees. “Fatwood” is a traditional expression used to describe the high concentration of pitch (natural resin) in the wood. This resin allows the Fatwood to be started with a single match and to give a sustained flame. Firebacks

Cast Iron Firebacks are designed to protect the back fireplace wall and to radiate more heat into the room. Pennsylvania Firebacks are made of the highest quality cast-iron and can be leaned against the firewall.

Another option is to use the popular Saf-T-Boot (shown to right) to integrate a Pennsylvania Fireback with a Fireplace Grate. The Fireback, Saf-T-Boot, and Grate make a beautifully practical, interior hearth hardware set.

Stainless Radiant Firebacks
The popularity of this fireback is due to its fine, quality construction. It is lightweight, easy to install, and is excellent for radiating heat back into the room and protecting the firewall. It is constructed of 14-ga., 304-alloy stainless steel and weighs about one-sixth of a cast-iron fireback. These come with slotted legs that allow you to adjust them to three angles: 65, 75, and 90 degrees. The support legs are 1″ high, 2 3/8″ wide, and 9″ long.

Stove Boards

Thermometers are a must to know how hot your flue is. Chimney fires can happen when the flue temperature reaches 650 degrees (stove pipe surface temp).

Top Sealing Dampers

While most dampers are located in the throat of the fireplace, there are dampers that mount at the top of the chimney.

These dampers are designed to make your fireplace more energy efficient by sealing sealing the flue at the top rather than at the bottom. Sealing at the top keeps the cold air out and your warm air in and causes an automatic updraft in the flue when opened, (you will not have to warm the flue first).

Top mounted dampers are operated by a control mounted in the firebox and connected to the chimney top damper by a cable or chain. Chimney top dampers are often an economical alternative to replacing a rusted out or warped throat damper. Top mounted dampers will also keep rain and animals out of your chimney when in the closed position.
